Acts13:36 For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption.
If you ask most believers and unbelievers alike if they would love to die now, the response you will get from them would include: 'I am not yet married', 'I don't have a job yet', 'I don't have kids yet', 'I am not old enough'. So many excuses are given for not wanting to die.
The bible gave us a valid reason when it is good to sleep in the Lord. When you are through with the fulfilment of God's purpose for your life, that's when it is good to go home. The bible said that David, after he has served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep.
What determines our longevity on earth is the total fulfilment of God's assignment for our lives. Henceforth, crave to find God' purpose and start fulfilling it. The will of God for your life is to fulfil his perfect will here on earth and reign with him afterwards. That's a good reason to live for and die.
Father, I receive grace to find and fulfil your purpose for my life and go home afterwards In Jesus name.
