2Cor9:5 So I thought I should send these brothers ahead of me to make sure the gift you promised is ready. But I want it to be a willing gift, not one given grudgingly.
I have been to meetings where the preacher raised money for people to sow into God's work. One thing that gets me puzzled most times is when a pastor coerce people to give against their will. The scriptures made it clear that giving must come from the heart cheerfully, willingly and not grudgingly.
When you give grudgingly, your giving worthless in God's presence. When someone is asking you for something, may be financial help, if you cannot condition your heart to give that thing willingly, do not give it. If you will murmur after giving that thing, please don't give.
There are givers that are not blessed because their heart of giving is not willing to let go. Do not respond to coercion or pressure in giving. Always search within to know the state of your heart before giving. Do not be ashamed to tell people you can't give them what they are requesting from you especially when your heart is not releasing it.
Father, I receive grace to give willingly and not grudgingly In Jesus name.
