2Cor4;7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
John Locke was the proponent of the much debated 'Tabula rasa, it is a Latin word which means clean slate. He propounded that the mind especially at birth is clean and not yet affected by experience. The implication of his theory is that the mind is empty at birth, no potential, gift or talent. While I am not here to argue whether he is right or wrong, I know God created everyone with certain talents&potentials that are in-built.
When God created every man, including unbelievers, he deposited something into man that makes man unique. Some call it talent while some call it natural endowment, whichever one you call it, Paul said it is a treasure that was designed to show the excellency of God's power and glorify him. You need to know also that whatever 'treasure' that has been deposited within has a connection with your purpose.
Your success in life lies in how well you are able to harness your God-given potential and make maximum use of it. In times of economic lull, what will make a way for you is that 'treasure' within not certificates or degree. I know a man that is good with words (you'll say talkative), he makes millions of naira just for talking to people in seminars. Develop your talent and turn it into a skill, there's a gold mine in you yet untapped.
I receive grace to discover my God-given inner treasures and make maximum use of them In Jesus name
