Psalms126:1 When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.
The word 'Zion' or 'Tzion' means a fortress hill in Jerusalem, it is popularly known as city of David. Spiritually,zion is the dwelling place of God. Psalms76:1-2 made it clear that God dwells in zion. When you gave your life to Christ, the fullness of God took residence in your spirit. You are now the zion of God, the habitation of God.
Though you are God's zion, it doesn't exclude you from trials and crisis of life. Zion may be taken captive, zion may experience marital delay and delay in child-bearing. Zion may be jobless for a while and sometimes live in lack. Zion may be hard pressed on every side yet unbroken, zion is the actor in God's film that never dies.
The scripture above didn't say 'If God turns the captivity of Zion' but rather, it reads 'When God turned again the captivity of zion'. It is not conditional, God will surely turn your captivity because that is what he promised in his word. Zion can't be defeated, the battles of life won't conquer you because God is on your side.
In Christ lies your victory. If you can stay on his word and don't waver in faith, victory is sure.
