PRECURSORS TO PROSPERITY

July 16, 2015 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

Job36: 11 If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity,

and their years in pleasures.

When something is a precursor to another thing, we are trying to talk about something that comes before another, a fore-runner. The scripture above has given us a sure precursor to prosperity- obedience and service. The man that can obey God fully holds a high place in God's heart. The man or woman that is addicted to kingdom service has laid a solid foundation for a life of prosperity.

It is God's desire that his children become prosperous in all facets of life. God is not behind poverty and will never be. Have you seen someone in need of help and you couldn't be of help? That's not the will of God. God's desire is that you should be an outflow of help and resources to your world.

Even though it is God's will for his children to prosper, so many a child of God are going about it in the wrong way. Some are hopping from church to mountain and prayer houses in search of prosperity but God's word is clear about it. When you want to get a desired result, learn to look for the precursor to that thing from the scriptures.

There is a place in God where you don't pray for prosperity. That's until when obedience to God and kingdom service becomes a life style.
