Psalms45:7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
Years back, whenever I'm praying or waiting upon the Lord, I use to ask God to give me the anointing of several men of God put together. I'll mention their names and fast about it. Sometimes, I mefntion more than three to four names. I prayed those prayers out of my zeal and passion to see God use me.
Later, as I grew in the things of God, I discovered that it wasn't hard for God to grant those request because nothing is impossible with him. If he had answered that prayer then, I may have fizzled out by now because of certain things in my life that haven't been dealt with. The secret of Jesus' anointing was because he loved righteousness and he hated iniquity.
When I discovered that it was possible for a man to be anointed and still live in sin, I changed my prayer point. If you desire to have the real anointing that will last, look at Jesus. His fmajor passion wasn't for power but for righteousness. If we can pattern our lives after Christ, we would produce his kind of result.
The anointing needed for the end-time revival will only be entrusted into the hands of those that love righteousness&hates iniquity.
Father, I receive grace to love what you love and hate what you hate In Jesus name. Amen
