FEAR IS A DOOR OPENER

July 06, 2015 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

Job3:25 For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.26 I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet trouble came.

The story of Job is a common story preached on pulpits. God permitted the devil to afflict job but the devil saw an entry route into Job's life which was fear. God permitted the devil but he didn't commission the devil to do all he did. Job by himself allowed the fear of his heart to open the door for the devil not God as some asserted.

During a counselling session, I discovered that several people complained about fear dominating their heart. Fear can cripple your dreams, it can make you dormant and useless to yourself. Fear is a spirit. Fear is the opposite of faith and only the knowledge of God's word can deal with fear adequately.

Fear can cause sickness in your life. People glorify fear and call it 'phobia'. All manners of phobias are from the devil. When the devil shoots the arrow of fear into your heart, attack him with the word. God's word is the antidote to fear. Stay on God's word daily so that your faith can come alive.

Action point

Father, I rebuke the spirit of fear in my life In Jesus name. Amen
