Prov13: 20 He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.
When I was an undergraduate, I associated with a brother who took me as a friend and as a son for the purpose of prayer. We spent one hour to pray daily at night by the road side for a period of time. I caught the fire of prayer through that companionship, at a time when he was becoming weary, I'll go remind him that it was time to pray. Praise be to God that I've not ceased praying since then.
Who you follow in life determines what will follow you. We mirror the kind of circle in which we find ourselves. My closest colleague from my third year till I got to final year was a worded brother, somehow because we were close, his anointing robbed on me and till date, the impact of the value I added is still at work in me.
Choose your association wisely, don't meddle with fools. Associate with men that carries what you need, look for people that can lead you into your desired destiny not those that will drag you back. Life is too short to be wasted with the wrong people. Every great man companies with like-minds, walk with the wise.
Father, I receive grace to choose my association wisely In Jesus name.
