While growing up on the street of Lagos- Nigeria, I discovered that there was a certain day in the month that everyone called 'environmental'. That is the day everyone in my neighbourhood get rid of the dirt in their compound and gutters. It was a crime those days not to be involved in the sanitation exercise because there were uniformed men that came checking on everyone's house.
For us not to miss out on God's plan for our lives, there are certain things we must clear out in our lives. We must do a daily environmental sanitation of our heart to be sure that we are not habouring any dirt that can debar us from God's glory. The opening text highlighted a few amongst all evil behaviour that we must get rid in our lives.
God wants you sanctified for his use. Sanctification is a daily process, no man becomes like Christ in one day but as we keep beholding with unveiled faces as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, we shall be transformed into the very image of Christ from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Father, I receive the grace to be transformed into the very image of Christ In Jesus name.
