A VITAL PRECURSOR TO RESTORATION

August 28, 2016 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

Job42:10 When Job prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his fortunes. In fact, the LORD gave him twice as much as before! NLT

When we say something is a precursor, we talk about something that comes before something else. Job went through tough times, I really don't know any man in this generation that experienced the kind of losses Job experienced all in one single day, maybe Horatio Spafford. He was the one that composed the popular hymn 'It is well with my soul' after losing everything including his wife and children.

In all that job went through, God had a plan to restore the fortunes of Job but we didn't see God's plan of restoration come through until Job forgave his friends and prayed for them. FORGIVENESS IS A PRECURSOR TO RESTORATION. God couldn't turn around Job's life not until he forgave his friends that accused him of sinning. Truly, it is very hard to forgive such friends; they accused Job wrongly and they were judgmental. That must have put a dagger through Job's heart.

No matter what anyone may have done to you, please forgive. Unforgiveness is an hindrance to restoration and it may debar you from manifesting God's glory. Everyone that you've locked up in the prison of your heart must be released right away. It is impossible to live in this world and not be offended but forgiveness should be practiced at all times.

Action point

Father, I receive the grace to forgive my detractors In Jesus name. Amen
