THIS IS THE TIME TO SHARE

August 26, 2016 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

2Kings7:9 Finally, they said to each other, “This is not right. This is a day of good news, and we aren’t sharing it with anyone! If we wait until morning, some calamity will certainly fall upon us. Come on, let’s go back and tell the people at the palace.” NLT

I was in a rural town in the northern part of Nigeria in 2013. No one has finished secondary school in that village; the light of the gospel in that village was so low. I greeted some teenagers 'how are you', they couldn't respond 'fine' because they don't understand a word in English. I discovered that their backwardness was because the gospel hasn't penetrated well because majority don't want to go there.

Everywhere the gospel enters, progress follow. Brethren, this is the time to share the good news to those that are far and near. Those we fail to preach to may end up becoming terrorists that would kill Christians, burn churches and schools. Every time you see evil happening around, it is because we failed in our responsibility to win the culprits to Christ. The devil is evangelizing and he's giving some idle hands ak-47 guns before we give them the bible.

We have to preach the gospel of grace radically to the unsaved because now is the time to share. The world is looking for the saviour, someone that will deliver them from sin and the guilt of sin and that's Christ. Start with your neighbours, friends and colleagues at work. The world need to hear about our saviour- this is the right time to share.
