I heard the story of a man that was walking on the road and looking lustfully at a woman. He didn't see the electric pole in front of him, he had a very hard hit on the pole before he got himself back. That's how bad it could be looking at a woman lustfully. Lustful looking entails having a bad imagination about the person you're looking at. Some men have had sex in their minds severally with women. That's lust.
There are two gates that leads to the mind of a man, the eyes and the ears. For a man, the eye is the most powerful and the mind is his greatest sexual organ. There is a connection between what you see and what you think in your mind, that's how strong the link is. Lustful looking is the major problem most men face especially in today's world where women dress almost naked. You need to be a man like Job who made a covenant with his eyes that he won't look lustfully at a woman.
It takes self-discipline to look away these days but you must develop it. The devil has packaged her daughters to look attractive and lure men of destiny into illicit relationship with them. You must make a conscious decision not to look. Let God's word dominate your heart and look unto Jesus through his word, that is how you can overcome lust. The battle for sexual purity is becoming harder by the day, we must win.
