WHAT I WOULD DO IF I WERE YOU

August 18, 2016 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

Job5:8 “If I were you, I would go to God

and present my case to him. NLT

I watched a film where a brother was going through some challenges in his life, instead of him to present his case to God in prayer, he began to complain, though he prayed later but he started by complaining and he later to switched to prayers. That's not a perfect way of touching God's heart in prayers.

Instead of complaining and whining about that stubborn child, if I were you, I'll present my case to God, instead of nagging and reacting negatively to your spouse, I'll simply report the matter to God, instead of telling everyone around about how bad your boss is at work, I'll petition his matter before my maker. We sometimes lose sight of the infinitesimal power that lies in prayers.

The devil is good at helping us replace prayers with complaints. Anytime you find yourself complaining and whining too much about a matter, it is evident that you've not prayed enough about it. The more you pray, the better it becomes. If anything or anyone has decided to switch over your joy into pain, report the matter to your heavenly father, he cares for you.

Little kids are good at reporting matters to their teachers or parents, God expects such from you as well.

Action point

Father, thank you for being my father, I report (...mention the issues), dear father, fix it In Jesus name.
