Some years back, I read the story of Jim Bakker, he was a mighty evangelist used by God in America. His ministry budget was more than the budget of some states in America. His ministry crumbled right in his very eyes because the people he called ministry 'friends' set him up and took over his ministry though he had his own flaws as well. He was court-martialled and sent to jail, his closest friend ended up marrying his wife but still, there were a few friends like Mike Murdock who stood by him.
Your true friends are those that can stand with you in hard times and identify with your issues till solution emerges. They don't mind fasting&praying with you until God come through for you. We call such friends covenant friends, they are like Jonathan in your life. Fair weather friends only come around you when things are rosy.
Dearest, you need men like that. In as much as we can't have a friend like Jesus, you need friends in the physical realm that can help you in your down moments. We are not emotionally strong all year round, there are times we have issues we can't discus with just anybody especially those of us who are ministers. That is where our covenant friends are useful; they are people that won't be threatened by our achievements neither would they back stab or back bite about our issues. They are men like Christ.
Sort out your relationship with people ans re define the kind of friendship that exist. Stick to the people that are covenant friends.
