2Chron26:16 But when he had become powerful, he also became proud, which led to his downfall. He sinned against the LORD his God by entering the sanctuary of the LORD’s Temple and personally burning incense on the incense altar.
king Uzziah loved the Lord and was walking in his ways, God's anointing was on him. After a while, because of the power he had, he became proud and that led to his downfall. One of the deceit that anointed men of God fall into is the deceit of pride and power. When a man begin to feel he is all in all, then he may run into trouble with God.
Pride is subtle, sometimes what people call pride is not pride because pride is first of all a thing of the heart. Pride starts from within before it manifest without. In fact, God is the best discerner of pride in any man. A young and dynamic preacher may decide to pull out of his church and steal members away to start his own church because he feels he is too anointed to stay under leadership, that's pride and rebellion. When you cannot mingle freely with people of lower status, that's pride. When you don't want to be corrected, that's arrogance and pride at work.
If you have special grace or endowment, please be careful because with power comes pride if allowed. I have listened to some men of God that arrogate to themselves the glory that belong to God. Some claim to be the healer or miracle worker whereas, it was God's. As you pray for the anointing, pray more for the grace to be humble when the anointing comes.
Lucifer was made in heaven with precious stones yet he was casted down because of pride and rebellion, beware.
Father, I receive the grace to be humble In Jesus Name.
