Isaiah2:22 Don’t put your trust in mere humans. They are as frail as breath.
What good are they?NLT
Someone close to me was searching for job. He wanted to leverage on the connection of an influential Colonel in our home town. He was quite assured about getting a job through that man but to his chagrin, he heard about his death not long after. His hopes were dashed but blessed be God who settles his children. He later got a good job.
Until you learn to put your trust in God totally, you cannot experience God's best for your life. Just as God told Bishop David Oyedepo, he said ' you cannot be looking up to me and be looking at man at the same time'. Maybe you should try it as well, look up with one eye and look down with the other, you'll see that it is impossible. Your focus cannot be on two things at thesame time. It is either you're looking up to God in total trust or you're looking at man.
Men will always fail you, trusting in men would lead to several heartbreaks but you have a friend in Jesus in whom you can trust. That hymn says ' trust and obey, for there is no other way, to be happy in Jesus, trust and obey'. As we walk in the light of God's word and we put all our trust in God, we'll surely win.
Father, I put all my trust in you, let me not be ashamed In Jesus name.
