1kings17:2 Then the LORD said to Elijah, (3) “Go to the east and hide by Kerith Brook, near where it enters the Jordan River.(4) Drink from the brook and eat what the ravens bring you, for I have commanded them to bring you food.” NLT
Economic recession is not a new thing, right from the days of men in the bible, there has been some form of economic recession that warranted people to migrate to another location in search of greener pastures. In the time of Elijah, there was famine because rain didn't fall for three and half years at his command. Agricultural produce was almost non-existent.
In the time of recession during Elijah's sojourn on earth, God gave Elijah a supernatural supply means of feeding, while others were starving, Elijah was looking fresh. There are certain things I learnt from Elijah's story
(1) Elijah received divine direction from God on the location where he should be so as to receive divine supplies.
(2) Elijah obeyed God's voice.
If you want to live in abundance during recession, the key is to receive direction on what to do and where to be for God's abundant provision to locate you. Also, you must be willing to obey. This is not the time for guess work or business as usual, this is the time to receive directly from God. In every recession, there are businesses that still flourish and there are people that are super-blessed. Divine direction and obedience is the key.
CONFESSION: Father, I receive direction on where to be positioned for divine supplies and provision In Jesus name. Amen
