James4:8 Come close to God, and God will come close to you...NLT
As a growing Christian, I have a desire to have the combine anointings of several men of God. In fact, I'll mention it to God that I want the anointing of several ministers some of which I read in God's generals. Later on in my walk with God, I discovered that they didn't become what I read about them over night, what I read was an outflow of their walk with God over the years and not just something they attained in one season of prayer and fasting.
If you want God's power to manifest in your life and be used mightily by God, get close to him. There is an anointing that is deposited in your life daily as you walk with God. Anointing comes as a result of abiding in Christ and walking with him. Some desire to hear from God like someone they've seen, that is only possible when you are close to God.
Get closer to God in the place of the word. The foundation for successful Christian living is in God's word, stop seeking the acts of God alone, learn his ways from His word. Prayer is vital; if all you do in prayer is to ask for your material needs, then your walk with God is shortsighted. Your prayer should be to relate with your maker with an expectation of response not only when you are in need.
If you're close to God, He shall be close to you.
