Having lived in Lagos-Nigeria for years, I noticed that the temper of an average Lagosian is always on the high maybe due to the high level of hustle and bustle in Lagos. Take for example, there is a high tendency of seeing a passenger fighting a bus conductor at bus stops because of change or two drivers fighting each other on issues that they can resolve amicably. A Lagosian can easily relate with those two scenarios.
There are people that love to quarrel. In fact, they take glory in being mad and they'll openly tell the other person that their madness is unique and special even some Christians are not left out. The true mark of honour for a believer is to avoid quarrel, we should be peace ambassadors wherever we find ourselves. Truly, there are many things around us that would make us to get angry but remember the fruit of the Spirit is self-control.
Jesus had every reason to pick up a fight with the Pharisees but he didn't. Stop the quarrel and sue for peace. As a believer, your light must quench the fire of quarrel anywhere around you. Stop encouraging people to quarrel, gossip can fuel quarrel, intolerance and impatience can fuel quarrel. It would be hard for you to preach this gospel of grace if you have quarreled with those you want to preach to.
Avoid quarrel.
