My wife and I visited my parents sometimes ago, we watched a mild drama in front of the house that got us glued to our feet. What happened was that a landlord in that area got drunk to the extent that he couldn't sit down. He laid on the road beside the gutter as if he was in his bedroom. All attempts to make him stand erect proved abortive because he kept falling and his mouth couldn't close.
That is what alcohol consumption can do to a man. There are men that would have succeeded if not for alcohol; the destinies of some men have been bottled in a bottle and they need discipline and deliverance. When I see men drinking beer and eating pepper soup at joints, I pity them because most of those joints charm their customers such that they won't be at ease until they return there the next day. Don't be deceived, alcohol is addictive and starting with just a little is what is needed to make you an addict.
If you are in bondage to alcohol, Jesus want to rescue you today. Alcohol enslaves, most addicts become chronic alcoholics by starting with just a little glass and they'll support themselves with some scriptures. To break free, start renewing your mind with God's word and engaging the Spirit in prayers. You may need to change your alcohol drinking friends; if you know that walking through a beer parlour joint would get you tempted, just avoid that spot.
God doesn't want your destiny to be bottled in alcohol bottles.
Father, I break free from all forms of addiction In Jesus name. Amen
