Lee Kuan Yeu populary known as 'LKY' was the father of modern Singapore. The meaning of his name is light and brightness. He ruled for three decades as the prime minister of Singapore and the resultant effect of his leadership transformed Singapore from a third world country to a first world country. We can summarily say that he worked for the good of his people.
I was discussing with someone recently, he said our leaders are clueless but I disagreed with him. The simple truth is that many of them are selfish and do not put people first. They know what to do at least by reason of their international exposure because they've seen how things are done in saner climes but they choose not to do it because it won't put money in their corrupt pocket.
What kind of a leader are you? God want to raise leaders that would put the people first and work to better their welfare. I am not against Christians in politics; as a reader of this devotional, God want to sponsor you to where your decision would affect the lives of people. God is expecting more from you, strive to be a leader that would work for the good of the people not for corrupt gain.
True leadership starts from your home and then to the world at large.
