THE BATTLE FOR SEXUAL PURITY

The recent news making the rounds about a man who slept with over 400 high profile women came as a shock to most people. Inclusive in the number is a pastor's wife and some pregnant women most of whom did not need his money because they were rich. I wasn't too surprised because Solomon had 300 concubines and 700 wives.

The shame that came with the revelation will never leave affected homes the same. I heard some of the participants (not victims because it was consensual) are going suicidal. Untamed passion and fantasies simply led to that nonsense that made news. They acted what was on their minds. I see people making excuses for those women.

While excuses made for them may be true for some (though sin has no excuse), it cannot apply to all, over 400 women. Among those women, not all of them can be neglected emotionally by their husbands. I can't accept that. Untamed flesh, fantasies and passion is the reason for that rubbish. Even to the point of being filmed in the act?

There are demons sent out this endtime to pollute the minds of people and wreck their lives on the altar of sexual immorality. There's a hunt for great destinies from hell and anyone who is not careful can fall into it. No special immunity for anyone except those who are on guard. It is a battle we all must fight and win.

One may wonder why sexual immorality is hunting after great destinies. The answer is not far-fetched. Sexual immorality is a potent weapon in the hands of the enemy to ruin a great future. Nothing is too extreme to avoid falling.

Solomon, the wisest man in the old testament said, "For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life."(Prov6:26).

King Solomon had a Ph.D in women studies. Whenever he is talking, it is good we listen to him. He must have seen how great men were brought down and how their virtues were drained on the altar of immorality.

Sexual sin is not just an amorous exercise, it is a covenant engagement capable of sucking out virtues and destroying all a man has worked for in one round of sex. Ask Samson. I call it "fast action" sin that destroys investment of years.

Every vision carrier must abstain from sexual immorality. Paul said, "For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:"(1Thes4:3).

The bible didn't say you should speak in tongues when tempted sexually rather, it says "abstain" or "flee". 1Cor6:18 says, "Flee fornication...", you cannot be too careful in this matter.

Do not let your erection determine your direction.

Control what goes into your mind through your eyes and ears, those two organs are the gates into your mind.

The greatest sexual organ is your mind. Guard it jealously.

Do whatever it takes to get your mind sexually pure. Avoid dangerous body contacts that can spark lustful desires with the opposite sex. I respect those who refuse handshake with the opposite sex because it sparks lustful thoughts in them. Draw healthy boundaries and you'll be far from falling.

Never allow the devil make you feel you can handle compromising situations. Over confidence brought Samson down. It is better to be safe than to be sorry.
