1Sam30:8 And David enquired at the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.
When David's camp was raided, he asked God if he should pursue the raiders and God gave him the go ahead. As mighty as David was, he didn't rely on his military might, he knew that yesterday's tactics and strategies may not work today. Before taking steps on ministry, marriage& career, have you enquired from the Lord? David remained victorious all his life because of this noble act.
In the kingdom, we hear God out we don't think it out. You can never get the very best in life except you make enquiries. When you prove to God that you know what to do, then failure is inevitable. You cannot be wiser than your maker, ask from him. In Psalms 32:8, God is ready to lead us and show us the way.
Before you take that step, ask from your heavenly father, he knows what you should do per time.
