I heard the story of a preacher who was a prime target of the devil. They've tried to pull him down. Eventually, out of carelessness, he fell into the sin of adultery. After the whole adulterous exercise, the lady said 'after 17 years'. Which means, they've been trying to get him for 17 years. That's how patient the devil can be when he wants to ruin a man's destiny. Great men are prime targets of hell.
When I read the story of King Solomon, I saw a man with divine endowments, a wonderful covenant and enormous wealth. He missed it when he began to marry strange women. God already gave the Israelites a command not to marry from the Gentile nations because they are idolatrous&they would draw them back from serving him. Do not underestimate the power of unlawful marriage or engagement with an unbeliever.
Some believers rationalize things when they're about to marry, they'll say 'I'll convert and marry her/him', are you a converter? As long as that lady isn't born again, she's a strange woman. Dear brother of God, I know you have a global ministry&a mountain-top destiny. Not all sisters around you are genuine, they'll dress and talk 'christianly' but some are demonized. God needs to open your eyes to know that not all tongue-talking sisters are genuine.
If you want to retain your place in destiny, avoid strange women because father Solomon lost it there.
Father, I shall not fall prey of strange women In Jesus Name. Amen.
