Joshua14:14 Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite unto this day, because that he wholly followed the Lord God of Israel.
Caleb was one of the two that entered into the promise land. His popular demand in the bible was that a mountain should be given to him. He was one of the 12 spies but he gave a good report with Joshua. He walked with God according to what obtains in his day and the Lord gave him Hebron as his inheritance.
There are benefits that accrues to any man who walks with the Lord. You don't walk with God because of what you want to get but because you love the Lord but while walking with God there are certain things God would make happen in your life because of your level of commitment and devotion not because of how prayerful you are.
Our walk with God is like a seed that would yield a bountiful harvest. Men that are genuinely walking with God don't bother asking for earthly things yet they get them. Their focus is on things that are above. A popular Bishop that I respect said 'he can't remember the last time he asked God for money yet he lives in the realm of more than enough money. That's the life of a true follower.
God is our father and we are joint heir with Christ, a genuine walk with God will release our inheritance unto us sweatlessly.
Father, I receive grace to follow you genuinely In Jesus Name. Amen
