Kenneth E. Hagin of blessed memory is a man that I love so much. His books were very helpful in my early years in the faith and up till now, I still learn new things from his writings. He was fond of saying he was a stickler for God's word. Though he had series of revelation in which Jesus appeared to him but he placed the revelations he got from studying God's word as superior to any form of appearance.
Even when Jesus revealed certain things to him, he asked for scriptures that backed those things up and he got them. The most important revelation a man can have isn't a vision, neither is it a trance but revelation from God's word. That is the real and authentic revelation. Some seek visions and 'thus saith the Lord' but they've failed to check what has been said by the Lord unto them in his word.
When you build your life on prophetic revelations rather than on God's word, confusion would set in and ultimately failure. The word is real and it binds all together, the word of God was referred to as sure word of prophecy. That means other prophecies are prone to error but the word is infallible.
Seek to know and understand more of God's word and everything will take shape.
