Psalms127:3 Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from him.
Pastor E.A. Adeboye told a story about one of his children who was sick. He began to pray for his healing, he would pray and say 'Lord, heal my son'. After several days, the condition of the boy didn't change,later he changed his prayers to 'Lord, heal your son'. Afterwards, he got his healing.
That child in your house isn't yours really, he/she is God's gift sent to you. Heaven hasn't permitted you to raise that child in your own way. In fact, the real father of that baby in your womb or that came out of your womb is 'papa God'. God only needed a vehicle here on earth to bring that child into the world so that he won't break natural laws of conception&delivery.
God wants you to raise your children in his own way not your own way. You must pay the price to receive the blue-print for the life of your child. Our parents may have failed in some aspects especially in the choice of our career. Most of them made us feel if we don't study a particular course, we won't get jobs. Not so many of them told us to study a course that aligns with God's purpose for our lives.
They raised us with a 'survival' mentality and not a fulfilment mentality. Don't miss it there, now you have the word, raise your children in God's way.
Father, I will not fail in parenting my child(ren) properly in Jesus name. Amen.
