Colossians 3: 18 Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. 19 Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.
IS MARRIAGE LIKE A LOTTERY GAME?
In a movie, a man was counseling a woman with a troubled home. He told her that marriage is like a lottery game. And that it may work out or not. This is the mentality of many even some church folks. This woman was on the verge of divorce. This man was encouraging her to forget her marital woes and mix up with others in town who are committing adultery. This woman contributed to the failure of her marriage because she denied her husband her body.
Her husband was sex starved. She was busy with her career and her focus was on climbing the ladder of her career to a lofty height. This man begged her on several occasions but she refused. She pressed the self destruct button. When her husband began to misbehave, she became reactive but she failed to realize that she triggered it. Listen to this, it takes the commitment of two to make marriage work not one. Assess your marriage and look at areas where you may have contributed to the problems you're experiencing.
In marriage, your input into it determines your output. A good marriage is not the product of chance or mathematical probability. If the two( not one) involved in marriage are willing to make their marriage work and they commit themselves to the process of building a good home, their marriage would work out well. Good home is not like lottery game. I read a funny statement somewhere which says, "the day you marry, you receive an employment into the ministry of works". Good marriage is work. You're a great determinant of whatever happens in your marriage.
Father, I will not ruin my marriage with my own hands In Jesus name
