Proverbs 13:20 Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.NIV

BUILD DESTINY BOOSTING RELATIONSHIPS

When I was in primary school, for a long period of time, my mom always pack bread and butter for me and my sister to school. Prior to that time, it was rice but over time, we became tired of that routine meal so she switched to bread and butter. After sometime, I became tired of eating bread and butter. I have a class mate whose mom always give him gala as launch. We became friends because I normally eat his gala during break. He was also tired of eating gala every day. After we left primary school, we didn't connect again not until after a decade. Our relationship was built on the availability of gala.

Relationships are in categories. There are relationships that are good and they serve the purpose of getting quick benefits but they don't last because they lack value of destiny commitment. Sometimes, derivation of mutual or parasitic kind of benefit is the driving force. The second category of relationship is what I call "Destiny Boosting Relationship." This type of relationship is focused on making the destinies of those involved to emerge gloriously. It is not always a jolly type of relationship because it places a demand of obedience, discipline and focus on those involved. This relationship can exist between peers with the same focus or between a mentor and a mentee.

In previous years, you've made good friends but you may not have built destiny boosting relationships. The decision to build destiny boosting relationship will shape your life and make you to feature in your desired future. Consciously be around those that can add value to your God-given purpose and help you get to where you are going in the journey of life. Some relationship will keep you static, some will draw you back but others will boost your destiny. The choice is yours to make.
