Rev 22:13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”
DECIDE TO INVOLVE GOD EVERY STEP OF THE WAY
The first pre marital counseling session I had during my courtship was centred on decision. The Pastor who handled the counseling session told my wife and I the story of a Pastor that died in an auto crash on his way from a vigil in another state. He didn't die alone, his wife and all his children died in that vehicle as well. After the vigil, his wife suggested to him that he should rest before embarking on the inter state trip but this Pastor decided that he would drive through the night on a long journey. Obviously, his death must have resulted from tiredness behind the wheels and that led to loss of control. Though a sad event but he made a decision that led to his death.
In a 365 days calendar year, there are 8760 hours, 525948.76666668 minutes and 31,536,000 seconds. The man that will have a good year and the man that will have a bad year have equal opportunities in terms of time and number of days. Decisions made is what will differentiate them from each other. To a large extent, the outcomes of our lives in previous years are products of the decisions we made. The outcome of our life this year shall also be dependent on the decisions we make. The first decision I want you to make this year and forever is to engage God in the journey of your life. Do not leave Jesus behind.
In Luke 2:41-52, when Mary and Joseph left the feast of passover in Jerusalem, they had traveled for a days before they discovered that they had left Jesus behind in Jerusalem. They went searching everywhere for him until they found him on the third day. Allegorically, don't leave Jesus behind this year. Allow the Holy Spirit to lead and show you the way. Those that failed to factor God's leading and involvement in their lives always end in regret. The decision to invite the triune God-head to be part of your journey and to lead you every step of the way is the best decision you will ever make this year.
Father, be part of my life's journey this year. Lead me, guide me and order my steps so that I won't regret In Jesus name.
