DECIDE TO UPGRADE YOUR PRAYER LIFE
Many years ago, I read two books that influenced my prayer life positively, "Seven Great Prayer Warriors" and "Why Revival Tarries". In fact, when it seems my prayer life is steaming low, I normally pick the latter to read because the lines in that book fires me up everytime. I am yet to see any meaningful thing a believer can achieve in God without a strong and virile prayer culture.
It is only men that can pray that can secure the future. You can grab the realm of unseen and control it from inside your prayer closet. Preaching affect time but prayer affect eternity. One of the greatest prayer warrior of this generation in church history is Savonarola. We were told that he spent so much time in prayer to a point where his knees looked like that of a camel. In fact, he was nicknamed 'Camel's Knees'. He simply prayed for the church in his time and for the future of the church. We are products of his long hours of intercession.
One thing the devil would want to attack in your life is your prayer regime. We want to see the move of God but we don't want to pray, we want to see revival but we don't want to pray. We want to be drunk in the Spirit yet we don't want to tarry long in prayer. It is only those that tarry long at wine that get drunk not those that take a sip. You desire to live holy but you're lazy in prayer. Prayer would keep you from sinning and sin would keep you from praying. Make a decision to upgrade your prayer life by having a regular prayer culture with an addition of fasting. It pays.
Father, put upon me the garment of prayer. I shake off laziness in prayer and fasting In Jesus name.
