SIN

Mount Zion Film Ministries produced a film titled, "Abejoye". In that movie, there was a family that was living fine. The head of the home began to have an affair with one of the sisters in the church. As this affair persisted, the devil began to attack the family of this man. His children had nightmares and there were strange happenings in their home. The sin of adultery opened the door for demons to torment the family. Peace came when the man repented of his sin.

Brethren, sin can make demonic attacks to be frequent in the life of a believer. The devil is always looking for an open door through which he can come into the life, business and ministry of a believer. Most times, sin opens that door for him to come through. Even if you know your place in redemption and can take authority over the devil, if the knowledge of your redemptive right is not balanced with holy living, you may run into trouble. Sin breaks the edge of protection. After Saul disobeyed God, a demon tormented him because he sent an invitation to hell through his disobedience.

When Jesus healed that man at the pool of Bethesda, he instructed him not to return to his vomit of sin lest a worse thing happen to him(John5:14). Some have become regular at deliverance meetings. That is not the will of God for His children. Demons are not as powerful as we think. However, we can empower them through sinful lifestyle. When the ways of a man is pleasing to God, even his enemies would be at peace with him( Proverbs 16:7). It doesn't mean the enemy won't attack but there's an assurance of victory. Sin is a legal ground on which the devil can launch attacks.
