Matthew24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. KJV
This end-time, the devil is all out to attack our love for Christ. If we say we love God, there are certain things that indicate our love for God.
There are certain indicators of love and they are:
(1)OBEDIENCE: The scripture made it clear that obedience is the proof of love.
John14:21- He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that LOVETH me:...
When you are in love with a man or woman, your desire would be to please him/her. God is also saying to us that if we claim to love him, our love must be accompanied with a dying obedience to his word. Iniquity would always try to steal complete obedience from us. Jesus Christ our Lord couldn't escape obeying God because if he did not, you and I wouldn't be saved. Phil1: 8 said "...he became obedient to death- even death on a cross!
The obedience that would produce fruits and strike a chord in eternity is not easy but it is the highest proof of our love for God. It wasn't easy for Jesus to suffer and die, but he did so that he can bring many sons into glory. His obedience produced many 'Jesus' (which is you and me) and for more 'Jesus' to be reproduced, we must also be ready to obey even unto death. Death here does not necessarily mean physical death but an act of obedience that shows that we have mastered the subduing of our flesh and pleasures for God's perfect will to be manifest.
Father, I receive grace to be fully obedient In Jesus Name.
