HE RESURRECTED FIRST

March 27, 2016 · Lanre Oyeleke · 3 views

1Cor15:23 But there is an order to this resurrection: Christ was raised as the first of the harvest; then all who belong to Christ will be raised when he comes back.

NLT

In the teachings on resurrection, we have the first resurrection which would take place when rapture occurs and we also have the second resurrection which would take place after the millenial reign of Christ. Jesus himself is the resurrection who will raise others when he comes back.

Apostle Paul made it clear that when Christ comes in glory, the first in Christ would be the first to catch up with the Lord in the air before those that are on earth. The significance of Christ's resurrection is to show to us all that the dead in Christ shall rise again when the trumpet sound. Even if they died in the jungle where wild animals killed them, as long as they were in Christ, resurrection is sure for them.

Do not lose hope on those that are asleep in Christ. Your loved ones, friends and families that died in Christ are asleep, they shall wake-up on the day of resurrection. Christ has set the precedence of resurrection for us and we are sure that the dead in Christ didn't die in vain. As pilgrims in this world, let us be prepared for death or rapture.

Action point

Father, may the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus not be in vain in my life In Jesus name. Amen
