INDICATORS OF LOVE
(2) HOLY ZEAL-
Romans12:11 - Never be lacking in Zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.
Another proof of love is what I call 'Holy zeal'. I remember the kind of zeal some brethren had for God on campus. That zeal was dangerous and I know that if every zealous Christian graduate all over Nigeria carries that same zeal into the outside world, our country cannot remain the same again and there would have been a national revival. I hope your sound spiritual life didn't end on the day of convocation?
The devil knew how dangerous you were to his kingdom, he knew that if your love for God continued as it was while you were on campus or when you gave your life to Christ, he would be a looser so he created a little drain in your life called anxiety, trouble,joblessness, carnality, prayerlessness, frustration, etc to drain your zeal and love for God and that is the real love under attack but what did Paul say?
Romans8:35-36 'Who shall separate us from the LOVE of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril or sword? As it is written, For thy sake, we are Killed all the day long; we are counted as sheep to the Slaughter.
Like Paul, you have to be resolute never to be lacking in zeal and spiritual fervor regardless of whatever you may be going through.

'Yet I hold this against you: YOU HAVE FORSAKEN YOUR FIRST LOVE. Remember the height from which you have fallen! REPENT AND DO THE THINGS YOU DID AT FIRST... Revelations2:4-5
Eph3:17-18&Col2:7"... And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ...Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith.
