2Cor7:1 Because we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit. And let us work toward complete holiness because we fear God. NLT
I believe that we shouldn't debate about whether God wants his children to live holy or not. Living holy is a command that resonated from the old testament into the new. God didn't just start demanding a holy life style from us in this generation, it all started with the patriarchs.
Holiness is your personal purity towards men and God. Holiness can be incomplete, if it is not complete, it is not acceptable. The scripture above enjoined that we should work towards complete holiness, in other words, it is possible for one's holiness to be partial and incomplete.
Some believers have class(es) of sins they don't commit and some that they believe they can't but commit. When you permit little sins in your life that you feel doesn't matter or mean much, your holiness isn't complete. Jesus is coming soon and because of this eternal hope, let us cleanse ourselves from all filth and work towards complete holiness.
Father, I receive cleansing from all filth and I receive grace to walk in complete holiness In Jesus name. Amen
