Romans2:11 For there is no respect of persons with God.
Mrs Baker was a poor widow, she would come to church to clean the toilets when everyone had gone. While cleaning, she'll pray for the Priest, his family&minstry. The Priest and church members were always surprised to see clean toilets whenever they come for services. Mrs Baker died and went home to be with the Lord. Her burial wasn't with much fanfare unlike other late deaconesses, elders and dignitaries.
One day, the Priest was praying and he fell into a trance, he saw Mrs Baker in glory. Her mansion was beautiful and her crowns were many. The Priest asked the angel to show him his mansion and crowns. The angel told the priest that he doesn't have any mansion yet because he's done nothing to deserve it yet. The priest told the angel the number of parishes in his diocese, the cathedrals he built and the number of titles he has. The angel replied 'those things don't count here'.
He felt bad that a poor widow who didn't do any spectacular thing got so much. The angel knew what his thoughts were, he told him that 'God's reward in heaven isnt for those with bogus titles neither is it for those that do things for men to see but for men and women who genuinely serve regardless of the title they hold because God is impartial, he won't rob Peter to Pay Paul'.
Dearest, God won't give me a better reward because I'm a preacher, if the church warden does something deserving of a reward, he would get it. Live for eternity, no partiality with God.
Father, may I not miss my heavenly reward In Jesus name. Amen
