Years back, I knew a minister of God that was working fully in the ministry. He wasn't placed on any form of remuneration or salary, just a weekly transport allowance of less than a thousand naira. When he got married, he had no chairs in his house, it was a member that gave him the chairs in his house. He struggled so much but he endured.
I am on the side of Paul in matters that concern the welfare of ministers. Paul said we should respect them and pay them well especially those that teach and preach. He wasn't trying to say we should reward them because we can't do that but as long as they're still on earth, we should try to be used of God to meet their needs because they have needs as well.
No matter how anointed a man of God is, his speaking in tongues won't buy anything in the market except he pays. Some Christians have a misconstrued idea about how God bless those that are called. Some belief that God will bless preachers without using any man. God has placed you in that church to be a blessing to his servants. A genuine man of God is worth your substance.
