Psalms103:7 He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
When I was much younger, all I care to see when I am hungry is food and nothing more. I didn't bother to know the details involved in cooking a delicious meal, what I wanted was food. Later as I grew, I discovered cooking a mouth watery meal isn't easy because a nice meal requires time and carefulness. A lot of things go into cooking good food.
The children saw the acts of God (miracles) through Moses, they demanded for freedom, food and water. These things were provided miraculously, they didn't bother to know the 'how'. Knowing God's ways is better than seeing his acts. His ways explains his person better to you and the principles on how he gets the job done.
Baby Christians care so much to see his acts (miracles) but mature christians care to know his ways( reasons&principles behind the miraculous). It was because Moses knew better than the Israelites, that was why his rod could turn to snake. Others also have that rod but didn't understand how God could use it to perform miracles. Moses was with God forty days and forty nights on the mountain without food, yet others were crying of hunger.
Moses was hungry to know more of God, others were hungry for food. Knowing God deeper requires a lot of sacrifice, please pay it.
Father, take me deeper in you and show me your ways In Jesus name. Amen
