TAKE CARE OF YOUR WITHIN

November 29, 2015 · Lanre Oyeleke · 3 views

Matthew23:28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

I was in an exam hall recently. I Sat with those that were quite elderly mostly women. Most of them dressed properly without trinkets, many of them would pass for a Pastor's wife from their outlook and their mien was comely but when exam started, I saw a different thing that doesn't match their appearance. Their malpractice was violent and so brazen. Some of them had chips in their undies.

One of our supervisors began to mock some of them saying 'some of you are pastors'. I felt ashamed because they didn't represent the kingdom. They look so 'holy' but I have learnt that holy and innocent looks isn't the same as living like Christ. Hypocrisy is what results when your outlook doesn't match your character.

The Pharisees have special robes that made them appear holy unto men but not unto God. Jesus said what defiles a man is what comes from the inside not the outward. Let the word of God cleanse you from within and make you more like Christ. Take care of your within, that is where the real you is.

Action point

Father, I drop the toga of hypocrisy and I put on Christ In Jesus name. Amen
