SEEK HIM AND LIVE

November 07, 2015 · Lanre Oyeleke · 3 views

Amos5:4 For thus saith the LORD unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live:

Imagine that the king of your village makes a decree that whoever amongst the able bodied male youths between ages 20- 35 that can find the lost artefacts would live and be given wealth and honour while those that can't find it would die, what would you do? Also, in that village, all route of escape has been closed and the only option left is to engage in a thorough search, I know you would seek for the lost artefact earnestly.

I see people enrol for reality shows some of which demands that they'll search for something kept in the jungle. If men can transfer the same energy into seeking God, we would have had more spiritual men now. Seeking for God should be seen as 'If I can't find Him, I'll die'. Tie your existence to finding him. To seek and find is not the same as what they do in reality in shows but rather it is a spiritual posture assumed.

The search for God starts with accepting Christ as your personal Lord and saviour and then walking daily with Him in his word not forgetting to commune with him in prayers to know more of him until the

Kingdom comes. When you immerse yourself in God's word and take heed to do what is written in it,and you make consistent prayer your lifeline, you cannot miss God.

The very things we were thought in bible beginners class is what we need to intensify on before we can find God- read your bible and pray everyday.

Action point

Father, I receive grace to seek you with all my heart In Jesus name. Amen
