HANDLING OFFENCES

November 27, 2015 · Lanre Oyeleke · 4 views

Matthew18:7 Woe unto the world because of offences!for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh

Many years ago, I was offended by someone we were working together in the ministry. The offence really got the best side of me and I had to return to God, get the matter settled amongst brethren and with the person concerned. What caused the offence was something so little that wouldn't have caused a misunderstanding but the other person flared up openly.

You need to learn how to handle offences because Jesus said it must come. You cannot run away from it, as you grow in the Lord, ministry and your business, the devil will always use those that are very close to you to get you offended. There are issues that live bitter taste in the mouth of those concerned. Most times, offences come at the edge of breakthrough or when about climbing to a new level.

The easiest way to handle offences is to learn how to forgive instantly. The devil brings offences to rob us of answers to prayers. Also, try settle misunderstandings quickly and do not waste time in apologizing. The will of God for us is to live at peace with all men, let us pursue peace.

Action point

Father, I receive grace to forgive my offenders In Jesus name. Amen
