Acts1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
One of my lecturers in the short-term mission school taught us about African traditionalists. He made us understand that they believe so much in power display and they can test a new found power on anyone they feel has some powers to know whose power is superior. We live in a world where both seen and unseen forces want to display their power.
There is a higher power and a lower power. The lower power must bow when it comes in contact with a higher power. Real and authentic power comes when you receive the baptism of the Spirit. I tell people that it is a must for every believer to be baptized in the HolyGhost with the evidence of speaking in tongues.
As you receive the HolyGhost, the power for service, exploits and the miraculous comes upon you. Don't live one more day without the power of the Spirit. When that power came on the disciples on the day of pentecost, timid Peter preached by the Spirit and 3,000 souls were added to the church, his shadow began to heal the sick and his ministry became fruitful.
Stir up the power of God in you by praying in tongues for at least 30mins. If you're not yet baptized in the Spirit, seek it and receive.
