Zechariah4: For who hath despised the day of small things? For they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hands of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.
I know a business woman that started her bakery business as a road side chin chin seller. Little by little, her business grew inside her incomplete building and her husband joined her when he saw that she could no longer handle it alone. Later, they built a big bakery and started inter state supplies of their products. Today, she's a multi millionaire but she started like every other snacks vendor.
The secret of growth and expansion is starting small and staying persistent. The only thing that starts from the top is the grave. I have seen people who cannot humbly take a small job because they want a very high paying one. Dear graduate, before you get a job with a multi national coy, you may have to start small by taking a teaching appointment.
God uses the days of small beginnings to process us, get us ready and fit for the big picture. You cannot feature in your future unless you learn the rudiments of starting small. You cannot handle big things if you have not handled small things very well. As a minister of the gospel, your ministry cannot be like that of Billy Graham in a day, you may need to start from the streets.
It is not a crime starting small, it is only abnormal to stay small.
Father, I receive the grace to be faithful in my days of small beginning and to grow consistently In Jesus name. Amen
