Joel3: 13 Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe:... 14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.
A sickle is a tool for harvest. Those that haven't been to the farm may not understand what a sickle looks like. The world can be likened to a big farm land and the people therein are the fruits waiting to be harvested. If a farmer doesn't harvest his crops on time, the crops may rotten or eaten by animals.
God has entrusted unto you the souls of men. Many think soul winning is for evangelist only but when you look at God's mandate for us as believers, we are to go into the world and preach the gospel. The sickle to be used for harvest is the gospel of salvation, telling men how God loves them and that God is no longer angry with them. Men needs to know that Christ is the propitiation for their sins.
The following verse said that there are lot of men in the valley of decision. When we don't rise to help men make decision for Christ, they'll surely make it for the devil. There is militancy, insurgency and all forms of evil in the world today because we didn't reachout with the gospel to bad people on time. Youths that ought to be carrying bibles are now carrying AK-47 because the devil harvested them on time.
The bad boy or girl you fail to preach to may become another terrorist tomorrow. God will require the blood of men from your hands, can you pay for it? Put in the sickle.
