Isaiah55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

A lay preacher broke traffic rules while rushing to preach in the church. The police stopped him and he admitted that he was guilty. He committed two offences but the police decided to charge him for one. The police issued a fine that he couldn't pay so he was taken to the court and he pleaded guilty. He told the police that he doesn't mind doing community service instead of paying fine.

When he stood trial before the judge, he didn't argue with the judge, he admitted his guilt and asked for mercy. He asked if the judge was a Christian and the judge said yes. He told the judge the story of the adulterous woman in John 8. How her accusers brought her to Jesus and was freely pardoned to go and sin no more. The man's little sermon touched the judge and the judge asked him if the story is in the bible and this preacher said 'yes', the judged reached out for his new testament bible and read it.

The judge told him that he would preach same in his sunday school class the following sunday. This lay preacher received full pardon from this judge and he was set free. God's mercy is deep and even more than that. If you will return to the Lord, the Lord will freely have mercy upon you. One thing the devil doesn't fail to do is to magnify your sins and tell you God can't forgive you.

Stop listening to the devil's voice of accusation, switch to the frequency modulation of God's mercy.

Action point

Father, have mercy upon me In Jesus Name. Amen
