DIRECT THEM TO THE RIGHT PATH

July 23, 2016 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

Proverbs22:6 Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it. NLT

I am a product good parenting. Yes, I can say that again and again. Maybe I should tell you that my being in ministry is not by accident because if I hadn't, it would have been a surprise. Right from when I was a kid, the kind of training my parent gave me and my siblings especially my mum, was second to none.

One thing my mum did that I won't forget was when she bought a jotter for every one of us so that we can make notes from our daily bible reading and we'll submit it for marking. Till today, the impact of that training hasn't left me, in fact it is the reason why you're reading this devotional because whatever I write in this devotional is an off-shoot of my daily study and what the Lord taught me.

Give your Child(ren) a word-based training, when they grow, they won't depart from it. What children become is as a result of whatever was inputed into them. The scripture is saying that when a child is old, he/she won't leave the right path if that's where you've shown him. Be actively involved in the parenting of your kids and do not leave that to school teachers to do.

Action point

Father, I receive grace to impart the right stuff into my children In Jesus name. Amen
