1John2:15 Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. NLT
One of the street language people speak is that of worldly enjoyment. You may see a young man or lady that will boldly declare to you that he/she want to enjoy life. The lyrics of some worldly music suggest worldly enjoyment because the composer's hope is in this world.
Jim Reeves said 'this world is not my home I'm just passing through, my treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blues'. When you don't long for heaven and the things of heaven, then we can say you're worldly. When you set eternal things ahead of you, it would affect our actions.
The man that loves God would want to be with God and do what pleases him. The world's offer is temporal and not forever, stop running after what is liable to destruction. Pursue righteousness.
Father, I receive the grace to kill worldly passions in me In Jesus name. Amen
