Proverbs21:17 Those who love pleasure become poor; those who love wine and luxury will never be rich. NLT
I once listened to a preacher who told us that he had spent what could build four houses on alcohol and pleasures of life when he was in the world. I know some people that were doing fine financially before but they lost their riches to worldly pleasures like drinking and womanising.
If you look carefully, there are so many rich men of yesterday around you. They didn't invest in assets neither did they find a way of multiplying what they had financially. It is financial foolishness of the highest order if you spend all you earn and worst of all, if you spend them on things that do not give good returns. This is the reason why we have so many rich men of yesterday around us.
God want to give you wealth that will last, not something temporary. It is not up to God to maintain your finances for you, it is up to you. Stop spending on luxury, buy what is needed and not what is wanted. It is common in Africa to see the so called 'big men' driving 'big cars', building big houses, hosting big parties and sometimes going broke big time.
Stop spending on pleasures and luxury. Be financially wise.
Father, I receive divine sense to be prudent with what you've given me In Jesus name. Amen
