Proverbs17:9 Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends. NLT
I was chatting with a friend recently on an issue that we perceived some persons handled improperly. He told me that it was evident that they weren't married because of the way they handled the matter. One thing marriage would teach whoever is willing to learn to is how not to dwell on offences or mistakes.
No marriage or friendship would prosper when those involve cannot forgive and deliberately not dwell on the mistakes. Reminding your spouse about his/her errors would kill love and create an emotional gap between you both. If you choose to think more and dwell on the strength of your spouse, your love life would glow. What you can do to your spouse's weakness is to pray and correct in love.
In fact, you need to know that it may take a life time changing your spouse in certain aspect because you can't be the same. Any man or woman that want to marry must be ready to take nonsense and learn to forgive all nonsenses till death do them part. Intolerance, unforgiveness are reasons why many homes have broken. When you see couples whose marriages are working, it is not because there aren't issues but they have mastered how to make their love life prosper against all odds.
Father, I receive grace to forgive and not dwell on my spouse fault In Jesus name. Amen
